Thought water use was limited? Well you thought wrong. Remedies are made with water and that adds to the benefit of every mixture.

Here are a few remedies that require water:

Ginger Water

How to make:

Combine water and ground ginger in a saucepan and boil for about 15 minutes and strain the liquid.


Ginger water has been used as a treatment for menstrual cramps, indigestion, gas, bloating, cold, nausea and vomiting associated with a variety of conditions, it also helps reduce inflammation joint swelling and pain from conditions such as osteoarthritis and rheumatism.

Cucumber Water

How to make:

Cut pieces of cucumber and peel off the strips. Combine water and cucumber and leave for an hour, then serve with ice.


Its good for the muscles, keeps the connective tissues healthy and also works for the skin.  The silica and antioxidants help your skin stay clear and supple.

Rice Water

How to make:

Combine rice and water in a large saucepan, set aside for 3 hours after that boil the rice and reduce the heat and let simmer for 30 minutes, let it cool then blend the rice mixture until smooth then strain it using a sieve.


The rice mixture makes for a good hair rinse. When mixed with castile soap it makes for a good natural shampoo. It makes the hair shiny, skin smooth and clear.
