You might have heard of many essential oils but I am sure many of you are not aware of green tea oil! Green tea is beneficial for your health and skin when taken both internally and applied externally. The antioxidants, especially those known as polyphenols, in green tea help protect the skin from harmful free radicals. In fact, polyphenols help fight against various signs of aging, promote longevity, and treat skin diseases. Green tea oil can be either extracted from the leaves of seeds, both have same nutrients.
  • 1 cup coconut oil – noruishes, moisturizes and repairs the skin and hair.
  • 1/2 tsp vitamin e oil
  • 2 tablespoons loose green tea


Get some dried organic green tea leaves and 1 cup carrier oil like pure coconut oil or almond oil. Now, put the leaves in oil of your choice and heat it on medium flame for 5-10 minutes, stir occasionally.. Turn off the heat and let the leaves steep in the oil overnight. In the morning, strain the green tea oil using a cheese cloth and store in a jar. You can add in a few drops of essential oil of your choice.


Massage few drops of oil on your body for a soft, smooth skin. Apply few drops of green tea oil on face before bedtime as a night treatment to wake up to a radiant, wrinkle free skin. You may also use in various face masks. Also, massage a few drops under the eyes to treat dark circles and fine lines.
