When hydrogen peroxide is applied on a wound it will kill of any bacteria that may be contaminating the wound but it also kills healthy tissue in your body as well so it’s not worth it, and you also need to protect your skin from the harmful ultraviolet rays as this increases the healing time and may cause dark discolorations on the skin. Lemon is citric in nature and this helps to remove the dead skin cells and also helps in the development of the new cells to restore some elasticity to the skin. It is a natural bleach that helps to lighten the scars. Take one table-spoon of lemon juice and soak cotton ball into it. Apply the lemon juice on the scars and leave it for about 10 min then rinse with warm water.
Honey is a natural moisturizer and it also helps to treat the scars. Treating scars with honey is very effective. Just mix 2 tablespoon of honey with 2 tablespoon of baking soda. Apply this mixture on the scars and give a gentle massage for about 3 minutes and then rinse with warm water. If you want you can use lemon juice instead of baking soda as this works the same. For faster result apply the mixture on regular basis.
3. Aloe Vera:
Aloe Vera has anti inflammatory properties that helps to reduce the irritation of the skin and remove the dead skin wounds. Using aloe vera on the wounds also works in reducing swelling, helps repair damaged skin cells and new cells being produces.
4. Cocoa Butter:
This will reduce the appearance of the scars by moisturizing and softening the outer and middle layers of the skin. It’s always good if you use pure cocoa butter as it is very effective or you can even opt for the product that contains cocoa butter. Just apply the mixture on the wounds and massage it in a circular motion then rinse with warm water. Apply at least twice a day for quick result.
