LANCÔME’s latest collaboration is an interesting one. Rather than adding to its already impressive stable of celebrity ambassadresses – including Julia Roberts, Kate Winslet and, most recently, Lupita Nyong’o – with another Hollywood name, the French beauty house has signed up Caroline de Maigret as its new Parisian muse. A successful model and music producer, de Maigret is perhaps best known as a favourite of the street style photographers, barely able to escape a fashion show without being captured from every angle by a gaggle of camera-wielding bloggers all seduced by her unique take on classic French style. In other words, she’s just undeniably cool, and has that elusive Parisian chic that you find yourself determined to replicate but never quite can.
Clever, then, that the same beauty brand that snapped up the much-in-demand Daria Werbowy would hand de Maigret the reins on an original make-up collection for 2015, as well as working closely with her on the worldwide launches of her new book: How to Be Parisian Wherever You Are: Love, Style, and Bad Habits.
“I am delighted by this collaboration, which is unlike any other and which truly reflects Lancôme,” said de Maigret in a statement. “It’s the beginning of a lovely adventure with this brand that I love so much. A brand that offers a different vision of femininity: one that is free, intelligent and that touches both the heart and mind.”
We expect neutral, ultra-chic hues and impeccable packaging – and of course some very smudgable French-girl kohl.
