Milk: Research revealed that smokers who drank a glass of milk before smoking didn’t like the taste of their cigarettes. They complained that the cigarettes had suddenly developed a bitter after taste, so next time you feel like smoking drink a glass of milk before smoking you will extinguish it half way through because of the horrendous taste it leaves in your mouth.
Vegetable: Some vegetables such as carrots, cucumber and egg-plant also leave a bitter after taste (just like milk) when had before smoking. However, stay away from sweet vegetables like peas and corn, the glucose in them can increase your craving by stimulating the areas of your brain responsible for pleasure and satisfaction. Dark chocolate: When compared to milk chocolate, dark chocolate is the best for you if you are trying to quit smoking. Munch on dark chocolate if you get the urge to smoke.
Dried fruits: The smell of dried fruit helps lower the cravings to smoke. Consuming them will also make a difference in helping you stop smoking.
Fruits: Fruits like apples which have a higher fibre content will make people feel full thus preventing them to smoke. You feel so filled up after you have consumed fibre fruits that you will no longer feel the urge the smoke.
Water: Drinking lots of water will keep your body hydrated and thus will keep your tummy full too. This in turn will prevent you from wanting to smoke.
